Sometimes I feel like my business runs my life, not me. And frankly, I don't like it. Fortunately, I'm getting quicker and quicker at restoring the balance, thanks in part to what I've come to understand about my unique functioning.
If Human Design is not a miracle solution, it can still help you to see things more clearly, and to take a new look at your business, to realign your actions with your aspirations and desires.
You already have all the keys to create a tailor-made and balanced life, you just need to put the light in the right place!
In this article, I invite you to explore your Human Design to discover how it can support your business and your life.
If you are an entrepreneur, chances are your business is you. Maybe this will sound very simple and silly to you, but I think it's worth mentioning. You carry a lot on your shoulders, both in terms of strategy and operations or marketing.
I know I do.
So if you feel tired, burnt out or depressed, it's very likely that your business will suffer too. I often think that if I'm not there, my business and my contribution to the world doesn't exist.
So it's essential to take care of myself first, to be the most effective and creative in my business every day. What I want is to create a business that supports me in my life, not drains me.
In my opinion, taking care of yourself involves three things:
You know what I mean... Human Design can help you do all this! Of course, as I say every time, Human Design is not an end in itself, it's just a part of your holistic personality. However, used with subtlety, it can transform your daily life and the way you act for your business.
Ready to explore this?
I'm not teaching you anything here, being an entrepreneur means wearing 12,000 hats at once, and you can quickly lose your energy, especially when you're not in your zone of genius.
With Human Design, you can learn to recognise your powers, your talents, but also the areas where it is more difficult for you.
Human Design can also give you the keys to how you function, where you fit best in the value chain, or how to communicate in an aligned and fluid way. -Impressive, isn't it?
When I talk about value chain, I'm talking about the different steps to create a product or a service and to make a company work. According to the Genius Report (the HD for business), there are 6 stages in the chain: research and analysis, creation, experimentation, contact and sale, expansion, and transformation. Depending on your design, each phase will be more or less fluid for you.
Of course, we won't be able to cover all these topics in this article, but I would like to give you some keys so that you can start to explore the potential of Human Design for your business.
Whether you're new to HD or more experienced, it's always good to start with the basics, to get a fresh perspective on what you already know. I know, it's not the most fun, but in my experience, we often try to make it complicated when there are already plenty of answers under our noses!
To start with, the most relevant thing is to look at what your design tells you about your functioning. If you're like me, your goal is to create a business that looks like you, is aligned with your values and aspirations, and above all supports you in your daily life. A business to create your life, not a life working for your business. -The difference is huge.
Without going straight to the Genius Report or BG5 (Human Design for Teams), you can already find a lot of information by reading between the lines of your design, and by doing your own experiments.
There are 5 Types in Human Design: Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector and Reflector. Each Type has unique qualities, a particular way of functioning and a specific way of being in the world All Types are important, they each have a role in creating an aligned and just world.
Your Type tells you about your optimal functioning: do you need a lot of time to act? Are you very fast? Are you creative? Do you have a lot of energy or very little? You can explore all this by following my free mini-program "21 days to honour your energy". You'll find lots of information about how you function in your daily life, which can help you in your business too.
I'm not going to tell you, when you're an entrepreneur, you have to make dozens of decisions every day, which can have a big impact on your business - and even if you're not an entrepreneur, it's the same, we all make thousands of decisions every day.
Human Design tells you what is the best way for you to make your decisions It tells you what your inner compass is, so to speak. This is called Authority. There are 7 different ones, some instantaneous, some cyclical and some variable.
So the aligned way of making decisions for you is not the same for your neighbour or your co-worker, or the people you see on Instagram. And that's perfectly okay. You are unique. The more you get used to listening to your own compass, the less you let yourself be influenced by others or by your doubts. And that's priceless!
The third fundamental element of your design - at least in my opinion - the Profile gives you insights into how you are in the world, what comes naturally to you, how you learn and many other things.
It can help you to know how to communicate with alignment, what you need to meet your needs, and put clarity in your aspirations.
There are 12 different Profiles, each with a specific way of acting and reacting. All have wonderful talents to offer the world.
With these three pillars, you already have a lot to discover about yourself, and what can support your business. Honestly, you could stop there. The transformations you can experience in your life just by following these few principles are immense. But I see you coming with your questions to dig even deeper!
So I'm going to give you a glimpse of what there is still to discover.
Your Human Design can support you in your business:
Sounds good, doesn't it?
I understand you, I too love digging to learn more and more, but I must remind you that all this is not very useful if you have not integrated the first three pillars. I invite you to re-read these three tips for getting started with Human Design before you jump in.
To get to know you better and understand your unique way of working, you can order an Insights, a detailed reading of your design and coaching sessions to explore your business or other issues.
